Why Should You Volunteer?

FCR could not operate without the generosity and hard work of our volunteers. Through their excitement and their contributions, these unselfish and skilled individuals make it possible for us to provide our much needed services and programs to our neighbors.

                                  Below are a few ways that you can volunteer.


Volunteer Positions:

Landscape Artist: Plant flowers, weed, prune trees and shrubs, rake leaves, and other landscaping
needs. Seasonal

Clerical Colleague: Assist with mailings, follow-up calls, photocopying needs, and other clerical
duties. As needed basis

Marketing Collaborator: This is a great opportunity for youth or adults to help support the mission of FCR. You can help us prepare for a community event or help by staffing our booth at the event. As needed basis, advance notice will be provided

Committee Work: Serve on various committees to help plan and organize our annual gala and silent auction.

Public Relations: Spreads the word about the gala to the community. As needed/once a month
•Silent Auction: Works with the local business community securing silent auction donations. Monthly
•Entertainment: Works on securing entertainment for the gala. As needed/once a month
•Decorations: Takes the theme for the evening and brings it to life. As needed/once a month

Child Care Aides: Provide child care while parents in our community are taking one of our free parenting classes at various locations throughout York County. Must be at least 16 years old. Evening hours, Monday through Thursday

Volunteer Training:

Each year FCR recruits and trains youth, adults, seniors, families, and college students who want to make a difference in their community.

•Volunteers must be comfortable working with diverse populations
•No experience necessary
•Training is provided for all positions
